Heralded as one of the top ski resorts in the country, Sun Valley is beloved for its wonderfully designed and immaculately maintained ski runs. Bald Mountain caters to advanced skiers, with around 75 trails coming off of 19 ski lifts and a half-pipe for performing stunts, and Dollar Mountain, holding easy green runs commonly used by beginning skiers and during ski lessons. During the summer, visitors can participate in resort activities like mountain biking, horseback riding, tennis and golf while the winter offers off-mountain pursuits like ice skating and romantic sleigh rides. Sitting just east of Ketchum, the resort is about a three hour drive away from Boise.
